The Notre Dame Fighting Irish senior football team clinched first place and home field advantage throughout the Niagara Catholic Athletic Association playoffs last Thursday with a 35-14 victory over the visiting Blessed Trinity Thunder.

In semifinal action this week, Blessed Trinity (4-1) will host Saint Francis (2-3) Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Notre Dame (5-0) will host Denis Morris (2-3) Thursday at 7 p.m.

Leading the way for the fighting Irish versus BT were: Lamar Kedroe with a 52-yard TD reception from Dereon Bushey and a 14-yard TD run; Bushey with a one-yard TD run; Jacob Iannizzi with a 42-yard TD run; Calem Smith with a 27-yard TD rush; Owen McNaught with five extra points; Josh Young and Luke Harker with interceptions; and, Dustin Dulmage with a fumble recovery.
