The Notre Dame Fighting Irish girls basketball team made it to the quarter-finals of the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations AAA championships for the second straight year.

Competing at Lambton College in Sarnia, Notre Damę opened the tournament with a 52-48 overtime loss to 13th-seeded Orangeville. The seventh-seeded Irish then advanced to the quarter-finals by knocking off fourth-seeded Lawrence Park 54-40 before falling 48-41 to fifth-seeded A.B. Lucas, the eventual bronze medalists.

“The coaches are proud of the girls that competed with some of the best high school programs/players at the high school level. The girls worked hard all season to get to the quarterfinals of OFSAA,” coach Kristen Dean said.
